Seventy Seven executes launch of Channel 9 in Bangladesh

Seventy Seven executed the launch of the entertainment channel, Channel 9, on Feb. 2 at BICC in Dhaka, Bangladesh.


The launch event witnessed a fire act followed by the unveiling of Channel 9's logo and Bollywood dance performances. The highlight of the night was the international act of ‘Ukraine's Got Talent' winners who performed a Quick Change Act. In addition, there were traditional performances by local artistes and children who showcased the culture of Bangladesh. The event was attended by over 1,000 people and was aired live on the channel.


Talking about the event, Manoj Gopalani, Director, Seventy Seven said: "The show struck the right balance with its blend of traditional and contemporary performances and was perceived as a major breakthrough in Bangladesh. We won this project basis a pitch along with another local agency. The Bangladesh Premier League will be aired on the channel, post which we will plan more BTL activities."


Commenting on the event, Vivek Tiwari, CEO, Channel 9 said: "The essence of Bangladesh was showcased through the culturally rich acts of dance and music. The launch was a bold and first time initiative from an on-ground television show point of view and was a huge success."
