RMAI elects new president - Sanjay Kaul, CEO, Impact Communications

Rural Marketing Association (RMAI) has new faces heading it this year. The rural marketing body has elected its new committee for the year 2014-16, during its annual general meeting held at India International Centre, New Delhi on June 20.


Sanjay Kaul, CEO, Impact Communications has been elected as the new President of RMAI, currently for a tenure of two years. He was elected president by a unanimous vote.


Kaul takes the mantle from Pradeep Kashyap CEO, MART who held the position of president for 5 years. Pradeep Kashyap also continues as immediate past president for the next two years.


Speaking about his vision for RMAI, the new president, Sanjay Kaul said, "RMAI is an established knowledge sharing body and has a unique stature of its own, my top priority will be to further strengthen this positioning through various initiatives. My endeavor also would be to make RMAI much more inclusive for all stakeholders. "


The new president, Sanjay Kaul, takes the mantle along with a new executive committee. Raj Kr Jha, Consultant Geometry Global, has been elected as Vice President, George Angelo, Executive Director (Sales) at Dabur India Ltd as Secretary and Dr. Anup Kalra, Executive Director of Ayurvet Ltd as Treasurer. To further expand the RMAI initiatives across country two Zonal Heads have been elected. Khurram Askari, Director, Insight Outreach Pvt Ltd and Himanshu Shah, Chief Mentor, SOI Live Marketing & Events for South & West respectively.


Expressing his views on the newly elected team, Pradeep Kashyap said, "The new team is young and enthusiastic. I am sure they will take RMAI to greater heights and service the needs of the industry effectively"


Apart from the office bearers, other committee members on-board include Biswabaran Chakrabarty General Manager, Crompton Greaves Ltd, Punit Chadha, General Manager (Rural Marketing) at Maruti, Puneet Vidyarthi, General Manager and Head (Rural) at JCB India Ltd, Siddhartha Chaturvedi, CEO, Event Crafter and Nikhil Sharma, Partner, MART.


Sanjay Kaul takes the mantle from Pradeep Kashyap, CEO, MART, who had held the position for five years.
