PTC Channel presents the Punjabi Music Awards

The fourth edition of the PTC Punjabi Music Awards will be held on March 18 at PAP Grounds in Jalandhar. These awards are annually organised for the Punjabi Music and Film Industry and the event is entirely managed by the PTC Channel in-house team.
Commenting on the objective of the annual property, Rajiee M. Shinde, COO, PTC Network said, "Punjabi music has achieved a predominant position in the field of contemporary Indian music. PTC Punjabi Music Awards are both a celebration and a felicitation to the versatility and vibrancy of the Punjabi Music genre. It showcases and recognises the best Punjabi albums, films, actors, choreographers, vocalists, sound recording and more, displaying the best of Punjab to the whole world. The awards were held for the first time in 2008. Since 2010, the Awards are telecast on PTC Punjabi in the US, Canada and Australia as well."
There are 28 categories in total awarding the best work produced by the Punjabi music industry from January to December 2010. The awards ceremony is a by-invitation-only event and around 10,000 people are expected to be present for the event.
