It's that time of colourful fun...the definition of Holi. What better way to bring the festival alive than to celebrate it with dance, music and drama? And that's exactly what Life OK has planned, as the channel celebrates its first spring festival on March 8 at 5.30 PM. This show will see the stars playing Holi with flowers and partaking of `Bhang', the traditional drink.
Commenting on this celebration, Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK said: "Holi is celebration of happiness; it's about forgiving and forgetting, blurring differences and sharing the joys of life with one's family. That's the essence of Life OK - the familial bond and sharing of happiness with loved ones."
Set against a village backdrop, this special Holi event will be hosted by soap stars Ali Asgar and Kavita Kaushik, and will see performances by Karan Grover and Aditi Gupta a.k.a Harmony, who will open the show with a performance to the season's most popular track, ‘Ooh La La'. Kailash Kher will also ensnare the viewers' senses with his performance, while Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari will perform on numbers from their movie, London Paris New York. As no Holi is complete without a ‘Rang Barse' performance, the audience will be treated to one by actors Karanvir Bohra a.k.a Viraj, Sudeep Sahir a.k.a Arjun, and Shraddha Arya a.k.a Lakshmi.
Championing a ‘Safe Holi' initiative, Mouni Roy a.k.a Sati and Sayantani Ghosh a.k.a Pratibha will play Holi the traditional way, with flowers, in their mythological dance performance on ‘Mann Kyun Behka'. Rounding out the ‘Safe Holi', the entire event will utilize only eco-friendly colours.
