Impresario manages 70th edition of AIOC in Kochi

The All India Ophthalmological Society is an organisation of ophthalmologists which holds meets every year in the first week of Feb. The society organised the 70th edition of the All India Ophthalmological Conference (AIOC) at the state-of-the-art convention centre, Le Meridian, Kochi Resorts, Maradu, Kochi. The conference, which took place from Feb. 2 to 5, was managed by Impresario Event Management.
Commenting on the event, Harish Babu, Managing Director, Impresario Event Management said: "Impresario put up the entire structure and plan, taking into consideration the suggestions put forward by the committee. The conference was eco-friendly, creating a green concept with the use of plastics and flex boards kept to a minimum. Every year, AIOS conducts this conference at different destinations. Once a destination is chosen, they call for a multi-agency pitch. Impresario was chosen by them among few other event managers, because of the way we presented the planning and execution."
The conference, which followed the theme ‘Vision of tomorrow's India' and was addressed by international delegates, was held at 10 halls of the resort along with a simultaneous trade exhibition within the compound. The event comprised of a four-day conference, trade exhibitions and refreshment.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Shashi Tharoor, MP, followed by a performance by Colonial Cousins, Hariharan and Leslie. There were also many entertainment stalls set up for the families who accompanied the 5,000 delegates.
