Images Group initiates inaugural edition of ISAF 2012

The India Shoes & Accessories Forum 2012 (ISAF'12) commenced on March 13 and will continue until March 15 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai. This is a B2B platform that brings together shoes and accessory brands, retailers and manufacturers under one roof. The event aims to devise the future growth of the market by focusing on new trends in the industry and the emerging markets in the region. The event is being organised by magazine publisher, Images Group.
The forum is witnessing a congregation of global and national buyers and expects participation of more than 100 retail brands like Puma, Benetton, Bata, Crocs, US Polo, Arrow, Metro Shoes, Inc. 5, Woodland and Liberty, among manufacturers and raw material suppliers exhibiting innovation in shoes and accessories. About 300 exhibitors are expected to be at the event, with an estimated attendance of 20,000 plus visitors and delegates. The three days will witness four fashion shows and a conference by over 150 speakers from the retail industry.
Speaking about the event, Amit Chopra, Managing Director, Images Group said: "The main features of ISAF'12 will be firstly, a franchising exposition where entrepreneurs will meet the widest assemblage of the footwear and accessories retail fraternity and other prospective business partners who are willing to invest. A high powered conference on shoe retailing will help entrepreneurs gain an edge in the market and learn some tricks of the trade. Secondly, the ‘Shoes & Accessories Theater' will allow leading and aspiring brands to showcase their collections through a fashion presentation using models. This theater will be showcasing fashion that is current and cutting edge only, which will be interpreted via fast forward global trends in construction and embellishments.
Harkirat Singh, MD, Woodland India, is one of the speakers of the forum who will be talking about Woodland's expansion plans, its expeditions, and plantation drives, and will emphasize on Woodland as an outdoor and adventure brand.
