Fusion Events has won the mandate to conduct auditions for the oldest singing reality show in Indian television, 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'. The agency is conducting auditions in Indore, Bhubaneshwar, Bengaluru, Nagpur, Jalandhar and Jaipur for levels I and II, and in metros for level III.
Fusion Events has also been mandated to promote the show in the Indian hinterland to ensure that talented participants get a chance to be on the show.
Alok Tilwankar, CEO, Fusion Events, said, "It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with a channel that has redefined entertainment and given an opportunity to the common Indian to dream big and realise their dreams with shows like 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'. Our strength lies in mapping the Indian sensitivities and devising events like auditions with the viewers' and participants' requirements in mind. The response so far for the auditions has been overwhelming."
The auditions have been devised not only to screen talent from various cities in India, but also to groom and mentor them for the final show on Zee TV. Participants will pass through three levels before entering the show. Participants will be screened by winners of previous seasons of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' at level I. Level II will have renowned classical music exponent Sanjay Vidyarthi and Ashish Golwalkar, Creative Head-Non Fiction, Zee TV, mentoring and judging the performance of selected participants. Those who cross the hurdle of level II will be called to Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi for the next level auditions. Final auditions will be judged by music director duos Vishal-Shekhar and Sajid-Wajid.
Tilwankar added, "Such popular shows have a huge footfall, and managing the crowd and maintaining the grandeur and reputation of the show is equally important. People can go to any extent to get selected in the show. In fact, many a times, that obsession creates a lot of nuisance for which we have to be prepared in advance. Mishaps and unpredictability are a part of these events. Security arrangements for the judges is also a big task. Despite the oddities and challenges, auditions for Zee TV shows are very satisfying."
Golwalkar of Zee TV said, "We have been working with Fusion Events for a long time now and they have excelled at their job. They have an excellent execution system and have managed our past shows very well too. We have benefited from Fusion's longstanding experience in organising events and hope to continue working together."
The auditions will wind up by June 8 and the show on Zee TV will go on air in July.
