Fountainhead and GoBananas execute first CREDAI Real Estate Awards

On Aug. 11, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) organized CREDAI Awards 2012 at Grand Hyatt in Kalina, Mumbai. GoBananas and Fountainhead Promotions & Events were appointed as the event managers for the event, on the basis of a pitch process.


The CREDAI Awards have been conceptualized to felicitate the best works of developers in various categories of urban and non-urban development. The idea is to communicate the serious efforts being taken by CREDAI as a body for the better functioning of the industry as a whole, which is beneficial to the consumer. A consumer connect was also created by televising the show on Star Gold.


Speaking about the event, Jaxay Shah, Chairman, CREDAI Awards Committee said: "This was the first time CREDAI had taken the initiative of conducting the Real Estate Industry Awards. We are overwhelmed to see the kind of response it has generated from the industry. CREDAI Awards is the platform where we recognize the best works of our fellow industry stakeholders, talk directly to our consumers, and also inform them about the steps being taken by CREDAI for consumer benefit."


For this event, the agencies were mandated to deliver a wow live experience to the industry stakeholders, and effectively communicate the changing face of the real estate industry to the end consumers, while keeping the entertainment aspect alive. The evening, hosted by Boman Irani and Ayushmaan Khurana, was attended by an audience of 450.


Commenting on the ideation and execution, Kapil Sanghavi, Account Supervisor - Client Service & Event Operations, Fountainhead Promotions & Events said: "We went through heavy brainstorming sessions to effectively communicate the CREDAI message to two different sets of target audience - the on-ground (industry stakeholders) and on-air (end consumers). Team CREDAI gave us complete freedom and held trust in our creative inputs. We got together to plan content, keeping in mind all facets of the event, which in turn became the soul for the astounding response received for the show."


Khantil Mehta, Director & Creative Head, GoBananas added: "Though our expertise working with real estate industry is over 10 years, this show presented unique challenges, being the first edition of its kind. The challenge for everyone was to convert a hardcore b2b event and make it palatable for the GEC audience. The resounding success now ensures many exciting opportunities opening up for everyone in the area of hybrid content development."


The script for the show was created in such a way as to provide the audience with industry statistics in an entertaining fashion. Awards were given out in metro and non-metro areas across the broad categories of townships, commercial and retail, residential - individual dwelling units, residential - apartments, and special awards. The event saw 21 awards being given out.


The event saw performances by Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy and Mohit Chauhan. Besides them, children from the NGO, Mumbai Mobile Creches, also performed at the event. They were invited to show CREDAI's support for the cause. Mumbai Mobile Creches works to provide mobile school setups for construction labourers' children.


The event took place on Aug. 11 at Grand Hyatt in Kalina, Mumbai, and was telecast on Star Gold.
