With events considered the height of luxury, the Chivas Studio Spotlight takes the ‘Chivas Studio' concept a step further, showcasing the best of contemporary art, fashion, photography, installation and performing arts. Conceptualized and executed by 70 EMG, this series of events began in September 2011, the sixth instalment of which took place on March 28 at Shiro, Mumbai.
Over the years, Chivas Studio has featured leading contemporary artists, musicians, fashion designers from India and internationally. Spotlight is an illustration format of the Chivas Studio held to keep the thought of ‘Live with Chivalry' alive. Commenting on the evolution of the Spotlight nights, Bryan Furtado, Group Head, 70EMG said: "At 70, we try and raise the bar for events each time. Talking about the Chivas Studio Spotlight, it has been a metamorphosis of the various aspects like food, music, fashion and mixology, which we have carefully created keeping in mind the brand sensibilities. As we move forward with each Spotlight in every city, the concept and the event has grown in numerous folds, making it one of the best experiential marketing events of the year."
The highlight of the evening was the brand's announcement of its creative association with actor Arjun Rampal and designer Rohit Bal. This association intends to foster Chivas' core values of brotherhood, generosity and luxury. The event also saw installations by Rohit Bal which displayed the evolution of his designs. In true Chivas style, a synergy was created between the music and graphical video projections by B.L.O.T.
Commenting on the occasion, Bikram Basu, VP Marketing, Pernod Ricard said: "With Chivas Studio and Spotlight, we believe Chivas has breached edges, transcending genre and format, bringing music, fashion, art, mixology and food together in a seemingly impossible move. We are extremely proud and delighted to have Rohit Bal and Arjun Rampal represent Chivas in India as they truly exude the values of chivalry, luxury and generosity."
This was the Spotlight's second run in Mumbai, having already travelled to New Delhi, Bangalore, Goa and Chandigarh.
