Camlin Arts Foundation will choose eight artists to be part of Euro tour in 2011

Camlin Art Foundation has been organising a grand competition under the name Camlin Arts Foundation Regional Exhibitions each year. The initiative is a platform for budding and professional artists to showcase their talent. Camlin has created four regional zones namely North, South, East and West and calls for entries. From each zone nine winners are selected and their work is showcased at an exhibition in each regional centre. Consequently, after the exhibitions from across regional zones eight winners are selected and given the opportunity to head for a trip to Europe.
Youvraj Dutt, Brand manager, Camlin said, "This year marks the ninth edition of the Camlin Euro Tour. In order to participate in the initiative, artists can submit their entries in four professional categories and five student categories. Promotions are done at art institutions and through Camlin dealers across India. The project is entirely managed by in-house team. This year, Camlin culminated the western zone exhibition in January. The last date to receive entries from the north, east and west zones is August 31. Exhibitions of selected artists from north zone will be held in Delhi in October, east zone in Kolkata in November and South zone in Bengaluru in December."
The winners are being selected by an eminent jury consisting of renowned artists like Prabhakar Kolte, Retired faculty member from Sir J J School of Art, Mumbai; Amitava Das and D. L. N. Reddy, master of print making from Hyderabad. From each zone nine winners will be selected.
Post to the exhibitions in all the zones, eight participants will be chosen, out of 36 to be part of the Camlin Euro tour in 2011. At the trip, eight artists will be given a chance to understand and view world famous art in cities of Paris, Rome and Florence.
