Commenting on the festival, Vijay Nair, CEO, OML said, "Having been to several festivals abroad, I felt there was a need for a true music festival experience in India. Thus, Bacardi NH7 Weekender has been initiated. We plan to develop this property into an annual event."
Commenting on the on-ground promotions, he added, "We have tied up with Bacardi for the event and they are doing pub promotions across Pune at over 40 venues. Promotions are being done in colleges through contests and more activities as well."
Speaking on the event, Arvind Krishnan, GM-Marketing, Bacardi India said, "Bacardi is bringing a never seen before experience to the country with eight stages and over 50 bands. Each of our brands from the portfolio - Bacardi Black, Eristoff and Dewar's will bring alive their true signatures at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender."
The Bacardi Black Rock Arena will feature India's top rock and metal bands like Parikrama, Zero, Junkyard Groove and many more. The Eristoff Wolves Den stage will feature a wide range of electronic and crossover Indian and foreign artists. The stage features festival headliners Asian Dub Foundation who perform in India for the first time. The Dewarists Stage will feature exciting folk and fusion artists from around the country and the world including Indian Ocean, The Raghu Dixit Project, Susheela Raman and more. This is an extension of ‘The Dewarists campaign recently launched by Dewar's' which is a movement that identifies, promotes and celebrates individuals who have followed their passion and shifted the paradigm with their original approach. Performances will also take place at the Hard Rock Café.
Apart from the music, there will also be a marketplace with tattoo artists, festival merchandise, artist village, chill out areas, a handpicked selection of local specials and much more. There will also be a play zone for Baby Weekenders at their first music festival.
