The launch event was attended by Andhra Pradesh CM Kiran Kumar Reddy; S. Ramadorai, Chairman of Tata Advanced Systems; George Schultz, VP of C-130J Lockheed Martin; and David Tucker, COO of Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Ltd. The event also witnessed the presence of US embassy officials, Andhra Pradesh government officials, unit associates, engineers, vendors, and members of the media.
The launch started with a speech on product information by Tucker. Tata then handed over the purchase order documents to Lockheed Martin, which was followed by the 'button press' which was done by Kiran Kumar Reddy. The product was unveiled with a multicolour laser show, along with smoke and haze for effect.
Rachnoutsav Events created a darkroom setting for 500 people to be seated. There was a platform for the CM and other dignitaries, while the two ton heavy product was installed on another platform. An LED screen of 24x12 ft. stood for AV projection. A 40x10 ft. glass collapse effect for the product launch was made using electro techniques.
Commenting on the execution of the launch, Rakhi Kankaria, Founder, Rachnoutsav Events said: "The engineers have spent their a lot of valuable time in manufacturing the component, so the launch should make a mark as well. We wanted to come up with a concept which would create awe in peoples' minds till the next launch from Tata Lockheed Martin. We had to make the product look as beautiful as ever, also make sure there was no external damage to the product. When we had to break the glass, it was risky, considering the safety of people on and off stage. We figured out the safest way of breaking the glass where the glass pieces would fall directly on the floor rather than spreading everywhere. We hope to work with Tata again soon."
