Music, wine and fashion converged at the 7th edition of Nashik’s gourmet music festival, SulaFest. An initiative of Sula Vineyards, the event was held in association with VERO MODA this year, in addition to BlueFROG and VH1. The various festival activities were held at the Sula Vineyard open air amphitheater on Feb. 1 and 2.
One of the biggest highlights this year was the launch of VERO MODA’s new jeans brand – Noisy May, through a fashion show. The musical line-up also witnessed an expansion, with more international artists and an extended Electrozone. Artists and DJs like Gypsy All Stars, Dub Pistols, Shpongle and Gaudi Live formed part of the line-up.
Another noted development this year was the expansion of the ‘Tent City’ concept, which allowed more people to camp out at the venue for the two-day gala. The event was rounded off with the annual presence of SulaFest Bazaar, foot massages, tattoos, tarot reading, grape stomping, special wine tours and food and wine offerings.
Speaking about the upkeep of the festival, Rajeev Samant, Founder and CEO, Sula Vineyards, said: “In our effort to keep this experience unique, memorable and successful, we are constantly looking to modify and fine-tune every aspect of offerings at the fest year on year. Sula puts in a lot of marketing efforts to promote the festival and make sure the event is well attended and successful. Our sponsors and partners automatically get the benefit of being promoted throughout this process.”
Commenting on the association with SulaFest, Vineet Gautam, Country Head, VERO MODA, said: “We see SulaFest as a platform for confluence of all things fashionable be it wine, music or style, hence it was the perfect place for us to launch a new sub brand of VERO MODA – Noisy May, a fast fashion denim brand. Also, the elementary synergy between wine and fashion is very exciting.”
Keeping up with the trend of reworking the existing format, the organizers have already begun to plan for the 8th edition in 2015.
