Sportzpower organises India Golf Forum 2010

SportzPower, the media brand from Sportz Network Pvt Ltd (SNPL), is organising the ‘India Golf Forum (IGF) 2010' on November 29, 2010 at the India Habitat Centre, Delhi as a part of the SportzPower Knowledge Series (SKS). Titled 'Need for Change of Course', IGF 2010 aims at examining the latest trends and opportunities in the golf business. It will concentrate on the growth of professional and amateur golf, coaching and grooming new talent, merchandising, facilities, real estate, tourism and other measures being taken to develop and grow the business of golf in India. The forum is endorsed by the Indian Golf Union (IGU) and powered by Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). With the Indian golf industry experiencing a 30% growth, IGF 2010 seeks to analyse the potential for development of the game and explore business opportunities for all stakeholders.

IGF 2010 is the third forum being conducted under the SKS banner this year. The other two are the India Football Forum 2010 and the India Cricket Forum 2010. All three will become annual events from this year onwards.

On IGF 2010's objective for the industry, Thomas Abraham, Executive Director, Sportz Network Pvt. Ltd. said, "The business of golf in India has reached a sizeable scale and the steps taken by the industry in the immediate future will have a bearing on the course that this growth will take. IGF 2010 seeks to address various issues and opportunities that have a direct impact on all stakeholders associated with this sport."
