Commenting on the summit, Anurag Khanna, Founder, Chairman and MD, Banknet Group said, "We started the Bank Tech Summit six years ago wherein we discussed the basic technology that was required by the banks as, at that time, computerisation level in banks was very low. Today, most of the Indian banks are centrally computerised and interconnected, so we are to discuss new, innovative and emerging technologies like green technology, cloud computing, and social media, in addition to other existing technologies in banks."
The summit will have four sessions titled 'Towards greener banking technologies', 'Banking technologies and applications', 'Cloud computing and Social media technologies', and 'Applications needed for a new strategy'. The speakers include CIO's, CTO's, Business Heads and senior functionaries from Banks, Insurance, IT, management companies and business schools, among others.
Khanna added, "The summit is promoted among the Banknet community of BFSI and IT professionals through mailers to all the members of the banknet group and also the online portal, Banknetindia.com. Over 100 people are expected to attend the event. Kores (India) Ltd. is the technology partner for the Summit. Six Sigma Eventz is promoted by Banknet Group.
