Forum Value Mall, Whitefield is organising a month-long festival called 'Shopaholic
Carnival' in Bengaluru from October 8 to November 7. The festival
includes various activities like Re 1 Auction, Entertainment Zone, daily
draws, weekend draws, lucky draws and more. The entire carnival has
been conceptualised and marketed by an in-house team.
S Raghunandan, CEO, Retail Prestige, Forum Mall, Whitefield - Bengaluru, Prestige
Garden Construction Pvt Ltd and Capital Mall Asia said, "In any mall it
is very important to organise on- ground live activities. Apart from
just shopping and freebies we believe in providing that experience and
excitement to the shoppers through activation and international
performances. Through the carnival we are expecting a growth of 25 per
cent in footfall and increase in conversions as well."
He further added, "The main objective behind organising the Shopaholic
carnival is an effort from the mall to offer great value options to the
shoppers. It will help us to sustain high value shopping experience. The
event has been conceptualised by Marcom team and on-ground execution
was outsourced to agencies. Every day we have international performances
like Tube dancers, aerial dancers and many more such performances."
The entire mall has been decorated in the theme of Africa. There are
small kiosks set across the central atrium and the shoppers can buy
African momentous. The carnival comprises of a Shopaholic Challenge
wherein shoppers spending over Rs 5000 can take part in a lucky draw.
Over the weekends 14 participants will contest and the top three will
take part in the grand finale on November 7. The winner will get Scooty
Pep as a prize. The carnival is being promoted through radio, print,
hoardings and online.
Commenting on future activities Raghunandan said, "Apart from our
periodic events we organise special Christmas and New Year events. Our
annual event in June coincides on our mall's anniversary celebration.
4-5 per cent from the annual budget is spent on organising on-ground
events annually."
