Seventy Seven manages three-phase campaign for 'Indian Idol 5'
Mon 26 April 2010
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has announced the telecast of its reality show 'Indian Idol 5', which will go on air on April 26. The channel has been promoting the show for quite sometime now.

Seventy Seven Entertainment has been managing the three-phase campaign for the show, which began in March 2010 with the five-city auditions. This was followed by a press conference in Delhi on April 20, and a mass media campaign after the show goes on-air.

Speaking about the on-ground promotional activities planned for the show, Danish Khan, Vice President and Head of Marketing, SET, said, "There is enough action off-screen as well for 'Indian Idol 5'. There will be mobile and static voting booths traversing cities with more than one million population, as well as concerts in seven cities where we are expecting a turnout of around 20,000 people. Hence, it will be a mass multimedia campaign over the next couple of months. Our focus is drive the brand experience at the grounds."

"Around 20 per cent of our overall marketing spends for 'Indian Idol 5' will be for on-ground promotional activities," Khan added.

The concerts will be held in Jaipur, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh and Kolkata. Around 40 cities will be covered through the polling booth activity. The entire promotional campaign, which began on April 20, will stretch for 16 weeks.
