SATTE 2012 will bring together travel agents, tour operators, hotels and resorts, domestic and international airlines, NTOs, state tourism boards, wholesalers and other travel-related products and services, from across India and the world, onto a single platform. SATTE 2012 will see over 50 foreign countries, 25 state governments, Indian hotel chains and foreign hotel companies representing India and other travel and tourism products and services. It will also feature more than 600 exhibiting companies to meet with over 6,000 buyers from various segments.
SATTE 2012 will feature three sessions focussing on tourism as a driver of the Indian economy with the topic ‘Experiences from the States', which will showcase the various tourism products that the states offer; emerging innovations in the tourism industry with the topic ‘Enhancement of Tourism Products & Development of New Products', which will address the ways to enhance existing tourism products and focus on new emerging trends and new tourism products; and inbound, domestic and outbound tourism with the topic ‘A Complete Tourism Phenomena, Scaling New Heights - Effective Marketing Strategies', which will address inbound, domestic and outbound tourism. Tourism stakeholders from India and abroad will also address the ways to build stronger tourism links between the countries, future areas of cooperation, tourism investments and emerging trends in bilateral tourism.
2011 saw healthy growth across the domestic, outbound and inbound tourism segments, with SATTE playing an important role in promoting various segments of tourism. This year, SATTE 2012 will have a companion event in SATTE Mumbai West, which will be held at The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai on Feb. 15 and16.
SATTE 2012 is certified by the US Department of Commerce and supported by leading travel trade associations such as TAAI, TAFI, ATTOI, IAAI, ETAA and ADTOI, among others. The event is taking place in collaboration with UNWTO and the conference partner is CII.
