Riding on the Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, the tenth edition of Rashi Entertainment's Family Fun Car Rally was held in Delhi on September 4, 2010 to commemorate the "30 Days to Go for CWG 2010 Delhi". This year's edition was jointly organised by Central Bank of India, and was co-sponsored by Kamdhenu Paints and Priya Gold Biscuit.
Commenting about the rally, Rajeev Jain, Managing Director, Rashi Entertainment, said, "Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi is the largest sports event that will be hosted by India after the Asian Games held in 1982. This is a proud moment for all Indians as we are hosting an event of such grandeur. So, we thought of extending our annual event property of Family Fun Car Rally that takes place in various cities of India, by collaborating with the Organising Committee, CWG, making it the most exciting and memorable Car Rally experience for the participants and the Host city of the Games."
According to Purnima Pendse, ADG Ceremonies, Organising Committee, CWG 2010 Delhi, "the rally encouraged Delhi families to showcase their fervor and enthusiasm towards the Games in an exquisite way."
The event was flagged off by Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chief, Suresh Kalmadi, from the Organizing Committee, Commonwealth Games office, Jantar Mantar. Over 100 families along with their children participated in this year's event which had various fun-filled activities during the rally. ‘Sports' was this year's theme of decoration. To make the rally even more fascinating, the participants decorated their cars in - sync with the theme and dressed themselves like sportsmen.
