The album is a compilation of the best retro songs with classics from yester-years. To commemorate the launch of the album, a concert was organized which brought together the best of musicians to play songs live.

Commenting on the initiative, Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City said, "Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi is the number one show in the retro genre. The CD was launched by Randheer Kapoor and the host for the evening was RJ Gaurav. The star performer for the event was famous playback singer and music director, Amit Kumar. The evening was attended by the trade and media fraternity. Over 400 guests are said to have attended the by-invitation-only event.
