RED FM calls for Gujarat to find its heritage
Mon 28 November 2011
In response to the adulation and participation from the people of Ahmedabad last year, RED FM Gujarat has returned with the next edition of the RED Heritage Hunt. This year, the initiative has been extended to the entire state with the intention of letting the people to get to know their varied and rich heritage. Vying for a position in UNESCO's World Heritage sites, the RED Heritage Hunt gives a chance to the people of Gujarat to see their state in a new light.

RED FM stations across Gujarat are inviting listeners to join the RJs to find the heritage sites with the help of different clues. Over the course of a week, two teams are competing against each other to win an opportunity to dine with their favourite RJs at Manek Chowk. Featuring daily themes such as East vs. West and Girls vs. Boys, RED FM aims to build the tempo each day in a state-wide quest in which around 100 aspirants will get the chance to participate.

Commenting on the property, Nisha Narayanan, Sr. VP Projects & Programming, RED FM 93.5 Network said: "After the remarkable success we received last year, we were delighted to engage the entire state in this unforgettable quest for a diverse heritage this year. Through RED Heritage Hunt, we hope to instil a sense of pride within the people of Gujarat. We would be delighted to see the cultural magnificence of Gujarat listed in UNESCO's World Heritage sites."

In last year's edition of the RED Heritage Hunt, locations such as Calico Dome, Rani no Hajiro, Badshah no Hajiro and Jama Masjid were part of the heritage hunt.
