Producer Karan Johar hosted the event and welcomed the cast of the movie, Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan, on stage along with Sukan Batra, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Bhushan Kumar and Shakun Batra. This was followed by the showcase of the promo of the movie and a question and answer session.

Commenting on the launch event, Anthony Fernandes, Manager Client Servicing, Collective Heads said: "UTV Motion Pictures is our client.This event was targeted towards the media and we engaged more than 250 media people. The setup comprised of heart shaped gate arches, red carpets, red balloons throughout the venue and a stage to reveal an idea of the movie to the media."
