Philips and CNBC-TV18 present 'Working.People.Light'

CNBC-TV18 and Philips initiated 'Working.People.Light', an on-ground panel discussion that was held on December 15 in Mumbai. The event brought together HR professionals, architects, CXO's and creative experts discussing and debating their views on transforming workplaces. The conference was managed by the in-house team of CNBC - TV18.


Working.People.Light was designed as a platform for the panelists to bring aesthetics, ambience and productivity together to enable workplaces that transcend boredom and homesickness to involve employees in a productive work culture.


Commenting on the initiative, Nirupam Sahay - Senior Director, Marketing, Philips Lighting said, "Philips' objective behind Working.People.Light was to engage with thought leaders in the area of workplaces to explore topics related to human-centered offices and future trends in lighting. Through Working.People.Light, we want to stimulate discussions around solutions that beautify and distinguish while improving energy efficiency and productivity. I am delighted that the participants were inspired enough to take a visionary mindset and come up with great ideas on how to to promote health and well-being at the workplace."


The panelists present at the on-ground panel discussion included renowned architects and professionals with interest in workplaces and employee productivity. The panelists were Prasenjit Bhattacharya, CEO of Great Places to work; Ravi Sarangan, Director, Edifice Architects; Kamal Malik an architect from Total Environment; Adil Malia, Group President, HR at the Essar Group; Hafiz Contractor, Architect and Nirupam Sahay, Senior Director Marketing at Philips Lighting.


Speaking about the initiative, Suresh Venkat, Executive Producer- Special Features, CNBC-TV18 said, "The right environment embodies the heart and soul of any corporate house who are epitomized by its employees. These are the people who more often than not are also the face of an organisation, which is why it becomes so important to bring an innovative pep in their step and an energetic smile to their faces through the right office environment."
