The judges Raghu, Rajiv and Rannvijay, along with season 8 winner, Aanchal Khurana, and Roadies of last season, Mohit and Suchit, were present in Delhi to flag off the 9th season of MTV Hero Roadies on Jan 6. The new season begins with the Delhi Auditions which had witnessed more than 10,000 persons in attendance. The search to pick the deserving participants will then move to Pune making a stop in Kolkata. The Roadies bus will then halt in one of its most favourite destination Chandigarh, a city that always brings the best characters wanting to become the next Roadies, with Hyderabad as the final stop in the audition.
This year MTV Hero Roadies has decided to explore the locales of America and challenge the contestants with some nerve-racking and challenging tasks that promise to be deadlier than the previous seasons. This year, Raghu, Rajiv and Rannvijay embark on a journey for their quest of an ultimate Roadie. This season also introduces "Everything or Nothing" as a motto to thrive on and contestants will participate in each task with vigour and valour to earn their spot in the series.
"Roadies has become much more than a TV show. It's a phenomenon. Such a wide cross section of people follow Roadies, across every possible screen that it just goes to show that there is a Roadie in every one of us. A lucky few will get to live out the dream. Will dreams come true or turn into nightmares? The battle begins for everything or nothing," said Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India.
Raghu Ram, the producer of ‘MTV Hero Roadies 9 - Everything or Nothing' said: "It's amazing to see how youngsters travel from different parts of the country and queue up for the auditions. The levels of energy and fervour displayed are phenomenal and inspiring. This year we come back with a different dose of edgy, limitless Roadies madness."
