Bakir Sura, Manager - Client Servicing, Tantraa Brand Solutions explained, "This was our first time association with the Lokhandwala Shopping Festival. We bagged them as our client following a pitch process conducted by them. The main on-ground events were organised on October 28 and November 1,3 and 6. We also managed a theme-canter activity on each of the four days in Lokhandwala to promote the festival."
The Festival was launched by Tushar Kapoor on October 28. The theme to the canter activity on the day was that of a carnival. A clown band with stilt walkers, unicyclists, mascots and many such artists were hired to draw the crowd and entertain shoppers.
Singer, Sapna Mukherjee was invited to the festival on November 1 to entertain visitors with her musical performance. The theme of the canter activity on that day was Indian folk, wherein a parade representing the different states of India led the canter. Accompanying the parade were different performers like Gujarati folk dancers and Punjabi stunt men amongst others.
On November 3, Sonu Sood let the canter and its activities. The third parade consisted of people dressed up as famous movie characters. A bollywood troupe performed on the canter and enticed Sood to perform with them on his new famous song, 'Munni Badnaam Hui'.
The grand finale took place on November 6 wherein the winner of the lucky draw who would receive the bumper prize, a Chevrolet Beat, was announced. Celebrities Bhupendra Singh and Mitali Singh were present at the occasion. A day before the draw, the coupons collection as well as the shop co-ordination was done by the volunteers for the 151 shops that had participated in the event.
The catch phrase for the event was 'shop, scratch and win'. Customers stood a chance of winning prizes through four grand lucky draws held within the event spell. There were also other prizes sponsored by Bajaj, LG, Sony, Chevrolet Beat amongst others.
