Dell India has signed on as the diamond sponsor for the first ever Indian Business Leaders Summit and Golf tournament. The event will host around 150 Indian business leaders on November 11 and 12 at Aamby Valley to discuss key business issues and network over a game of Golf. Under the theme ‘Business Over Golf' the first day will host the Indian business leaders conference on thought leadership and the second day will host the Exito Group Business leaders Golf Tournament for 60 of India's best corporate golfers. The event is conceptualised and managed by Exito Group.

 

Noting that the concept of the property is not new, Alem Young, Creative and Production Director, Exito Group, said, "People and organizations across the world organizes conference and Golf tournaments together but it is more internal or organisational. To host a business conference and a Golf tournament together would be a first in India and could be a first of its kind in the world as well. We are proud that we are doing this in India because India is at a stage where it is taking rapid steps into becoming a major player in global economy."

 

Elaborating on the concept, he said, "We are in an era where people are innovating ways of doing business and making deals further moving away from the board rooms which tends to be more serious in nature. Therefore Business entities are looking at meeting clients and doing business in an informal manner. For which Golf is the ultimate sport to provide just that for many reasons. One, it is the preferred sport played mostly by C-level Executives, and two to find out how a person deals in business is to play a round of Golf with him. I personally believe that for now golf is the perfect sport that provides the ultimate platform to do business over leisure."

 

The agency is planning to make this an annual event, and would be taking it to other emerging markets and cities as well. "We have plans of hosting one in the middle east known as the Abu Dhabi Business Leader's Summit and Golf Tournament with a proposed month of April or May," revealed Young.
