IBF introduces Indian Television Fest 2012

The television broadcasting industry, a big deal anywhere in the world, has become more so in India. Outpacing the growth in the rest of the world and preparing to become the biggest TV market in the years to come, the Indian television industry creates an enormous impact on the way the country thinks and lives. With an inventory of more than 600 TV channels, this business realises an annual turnover of more than Rs. 30,000 crores across a value chain of cable systems, programming houses, technology and creative talent.


In celebration of this industry, the Indian Broadcasting Foundation, (IBF), the body which represents the television broadcasting industry, is presenting The Indian Television Fest 2012 on Nov. 2 and 3 in Goa. The fest will bring the entire Indian television under one roof to collaborate, exchange, ideate, view and review.


Uday Shankar, President, IBF said: "The Indian Television Fest is for the industry, by the industry and of the industry. Designed over two days in the relaxing environment of Goa, it is the perfect opportunity for the young TV industry to network, exchange ideas and interact with professionals, entrepreneurs and global experts from the entire value chain of television broadcasting. The Indian Television Fest is critically required to grow our industry to a Rs. 100,000 crore industry. The moment is now!"


The Indian Television Fest 2012 will see seminars, key note sessions, events, recreation, awards, software and hardware bazaar technology and service pavilions, lounges for private meetings, performances, and a host of sporting activities.
