Since one of the organisation's main constituencies is the community of online publishers and agencies, they have noticed changes in internet and mobile marketing. As a part of their effort to keep the industry updated on the same, every year, the IAMAI hosts the marketing conclave to bring together leading digital advertisers, publishers and agencies.
The event will hold panel discussions on topics such as Social Media Marketing: Daag Acche Hain!, Email marketing: An Unsung Hero?, Video Marketing: Papa Ki Kara, petrol Khatam hi nahin Honda, Taking India to the World: Because I am worth it, Moblie Marketing, and Power of Digital: Taste The Thunder, amongst other discussions.
The primary target of the event are advertisers who have not yet decided in favour of the digital marketing, amongst other agencies, publishers and stakeholders. The conclave will engage people such as Virginia Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, IBM India; Usha Sangwan, Executive Director, LIC India; Karthi Marshan, Head Marketing, Kotak Mahindra Group; Vinay Bhatia, Customer Care Associate and Vice President - Marketing and Loyaly, Shoppers Stop; Alok Saraogi, Head Branding and Marketing Communication, Ashok Leyland; and Karthik Nagarajan, National Director, Social and Insights, Group M; amongst others.
Commenting on the initiative, Subho Ray, President, Internet and Mobile Association of India said: "This initiative is more like a large feedback session as to where the industry is headed and how can we serve our advertisers. Given the fast changing nature of the medium, stakeholders are always keen to know what is the next new thing that would work for them. This year is no exception, and the focus is to dive into new areas such as video advertising, mobile marketing, promoting Indian brands abroad, etc. More importantly, we will have a rich presence of advertisers who have used and benefited from this medium."
