Shri Hanuman Chalisa has been composed by music director Adesh Srivastava and has been recorded in actor Amitabh Bachchan's voice, along with 20 other leading playback singers and artists from the Indian film industry. This is the first time that a CD featuring only one track, sung by 21 singers, has been released in India.
Elaborating on the execution of the launch event, Bunty Walia, Director, GS Entertainment said: "We have been associated with AB Corp for a long time and thus, we were roped in to manage this event for them. The entire set design created for the grand launch event was a replica of the famous Sankat Muchan temple. We had fabricated a larger-than-life statue of God Hanuman. Amitabh Bachchan inaugurated the event by singing the Shri Hanuman Chalisa. He was then joined by four singers, namely Hans Raj Hans, Babul Supriyo, Adhesh Srivastav and Manoj Tiwari, on stage. They, in turn, were joined by 30 dancers. The dance was choreographed by Shiamak Davar."
The event was attended by 150 guests, apart from the media fraternity. The guest list included Ramesh Sippy, Yash Chopra, Rakesh Omprakash Mehr, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Piyush Pandey, Ramesh Taurani, Ila Arun, Sapna Mukherjee and Jaya Bachchan, amongst others. The audio for the event was managed by Audio Dimensions, video by Spectrum Audio Visuals, and the set and decor was managed by Kosmos India.
Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, the 20 singers featured in the album are Aadesh Shrivastava, Abhijit, Babul Supriyo, Hariharan, Hans Raj Hans, Kumar Sanu, Kailash Kher, Kay Kay, Kunal Ganjawala, Manoj Tiwari, Mukul Agarwal, Prasoon Joshi, Roop Kumar Rathod, Suresh Wadkar, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh, Udit Narayan and Vinod Rathod.
