Taj Lands End was also the venue for the judging round for the awards, which took place a few weeks ago. The judges included actor Sonali Bendre; Priya Tanna, Vogue Editor; Oona Dhabar, Marketing Director, Conde Nast India; and former model Namrata Barua Shroff; among others. More than 1,100 entries were received for these trade awards across the various categories.
Apart from the beauty brands, a host of celebrities were also awarded excellence awards. Bollywood actor Kajol, who features on the August cover of Vogue, was presented with the ‘Timeless Beauty' award while actor Farhan Akhtar won the ‘Most Beautiful Man' title. Some of the other recipients included model and actress Diana Penty; British beauty pageant titleholder, model and actress Amy Jackson; actress Ileana D'cruz; model and actor Angela Jonsson; and several beauty, nutrition, makeup and photography professionals.
The awards were attended by the who's who of the industry, including models, Bollywood celebrities, and some of the biggest brands in the lifestyle space. Overall, about 225 people attended the event.
