The final tasks were announced at a press conference in Mumbai by the cast of Bollywood film, Faltu - Ritesh Deshmukh, Jackie Bhagnani, Puja Gupta and Remo Dsouza. They announced three tasks which would mark the countdown to the finale of the MTV Samsung Mobile Gang Next 2.0 powered by Aircel program.
The first task was related to 'brand identity' where each gang needed to find appropriate association - gang logo, gang call and introduction to team members. The second task involved engaging with foreign tourists populating their ‘Must see Must do' calendar while traveling in India. The third task involved portraying creativity in food and beverage by presenting a signature cold refreshment along with a promo selling this drink online. All the tasks were facilitated by integration with the latest mobile technology from Samsung Mobiles.
Commenting on the activation, Aditya Swamy, Channel-Head, MTV India, said, "Gang Next is among the largest youth engagement programs in the country. 100 colleges, 10 cities and over 5000 gangs taking part is a reflection of the fact that multiplatform activation is the only way to engage young people."
The announcements for and interactions with the gangs were done on platforms such as MTVIndia.com, MTV and the MTV GangNext Facebook page. These tasks were also announced on the 'Blyk' service by Aircel, which helped the gangs plan their next step while on the move.
