The Advertising Club of Bombay will be organising EMVIES 2010, its media awards presentation, on Friday, August 27, 2010. In its tenth year, the awards will be given across 14 categories that include the grand EMVIE, People's Choice and the Best Media Agency of the year. The awards ceremony will be hosted at the Taj Lands End in Bandra. The event is sponsored by Times Television Network.
A press note from the organisers, stated, "The EMVIES have gone from strength to strength in these years with the very active and enthusiastic support of the entire media fraternity. Not only have these Awards become a matter of honour for media planning and buying houses, but are today receiving tremendous support from media marketers and clients as well. We expect the audience to be in excess of 700 comprising professionals from Media, Advertising, Marketing, Research and PR fraternity."
In the Best Media Innovation - Events category, five entries have been shortlisted for the Awards. They include Madison Media Infinity's work for Tata Tea on the campaign 'Vrath Yatra'. Mindshare's work for Brooke Bond Taj Mahal for the 'Taj Enlighten Film Society' event. Maxus' work for Red Bull in the campaign 'Is Your Media Worth a Conversation?'. Mudra Max managed two shortlists with works for National Association for the Blind's 'May I Help You' campaign and Wrigley's 'Mumbai Smiles' campaign.
