EEMA prepares for a 'Fun Raiser'
Tue 22 March 2011
In an attempt to promote a healthy balance of work and life in a highly stressed industry that is a front-runner in lifestyle diseases, EEMA has initiated a ‘Fun Raiser'. The first such event under this initiative will be a six side tennis ball cricket tournament which will be held on April 9 at the Andheri Sports Complex or April 10 at Goregaon Sports Club.

Speaking on the event, Rajesh KV, EVP - Wizcraft and member of the executive committee spearheading this initiative said, "The brand Fun Raiser, which aims at being the official ‘Play Day' of the industry, will be synonymous with the message of Work and Life balance and will soon be established as a corporate event brand."

Each member of EEMA can send in more than one team from their organization. The fee for participation stands at Rs. 7,000 per team for EEMA members and Rs. 10,000 for non-EEMA members. Rajesh added, "We are looking at limiting participation for year one of this tournament to 32 teams."

As the highly stressful industry has already claimed young promising lives, EEMA feels that there is an urgent need to promote a healthy work life balance. They hope that the Fun Raiser will promote this cause and minimize further casualties.
