Speaking about the objective behind initiating the event, Rizwan Tariq, Director, Trade Government Authority of Pakistan said: "This is the inaugural edition of the event. The core objective behind the initiative is to normalize trade relations between the two countries. We had an India edition of the same in Pakistan in the month of February."
The event will engage over 100 exhibitors and will be attended by top-notch dignitaries from both India and Pakistan. The Commerce Ministers of India and Pakistan, Anand Sharma and Makhdoom Amin Fahim, along with other key officials, leading celebrities, fashion designers and musicians are expected to attend the inaugural ceremony. The venue will witness the presence of representatives from Indian trade bodies like FICCI and CII attending the exhibition as well.
Some of the key exhibitors at the event are niche brands like Gul Ahmed, AlKaram, Hub Leather, Khaadi, Chen One, Bonanza and Orient Textile Mills. The gala evening is scheduled to be hosted by the Ministry of Commerce Pakistan, featuring a fashion show by key designers, which will be followed by a musical performance.
Commenting on the event, Himanshu Anand, Account Director, Encompass said: "We have been associated with J&S Entertainment and Event Management for quite some time now and we pitched for the tender jointly. The setup is built around the theme of Pakistan wherein we will highlight the famous historic places in Pakistan."
