Delhi Duty Free: New brand activation hotspot

Brands are increasingly seeking newer opportunities and avenues to engage audiences. The Delhi Duty Free seems to be one such avenue that has gained brand interest for retail and brand activities. In order to celebrate 100 years of Mr. Jack Daniels, Brown Forman in association with Delhi Duty Free Services, organised an activity titled "Win a Harley on Mr. Jack Daniels' 100th Birthday" at the Delhi duty free on October 11. The activity offered shoppers a chance to take home a Harley Davidson Motorbike.


Delhi Duty Free offered a range of gifts to travelers and on the purchase of two bottles of Jack Daniels, shoppers got the opportunity to participate in a lucky dip to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle. A customer, after purchasing the product, had to fill out a coupon and drop it into the lucky draw drop box. A lucky winner was chosen and felicitated with a Harley Davidson bike. The entire activity was managed by an in-house team of Jack Daniels. The promotion began from August at the Delhi Duty Free shops at the T3 at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, and continued until September.


Commenting on the importance of brand activations at Delhi Duty Free, Abhijit Das, Head of Marketing, Delhi Duty Free Services said, "Travel retail as a concept is new to India, so it's very important for us to engage the travelers with ongoing brand promotions and offerings. Like any other retail operations, ongoing activations make the shopping experience memorable as well. Delhi Duty Free is doing a lot of promotions with various brands. Needless to say that lot of surprises will be unveiled for customers."
