For its fourth initiative in a row, the BCC has introduced ‘Brain Hunt 2012 - the quest for wonder kidz'. This engagement activity kicked off on Jan. 11 and will conclude in March. Commenting on the initiative, Vinay Maheshwari, Vice President Sales & Market Development, Dainik Bhaskar said: "Brain Hunt 2012 is our initiative to hunt for visionary brains. It is a true roller-coaster ride with 16 mind-boggling activities presented in a wonderfully crafted activity workbook, which is available pan-India. Brain Hunt 2012 will enable students to ‘Imagine a Whole New World', ‘Experiment with the facts', ‘Visualize the unseen' and ‘Think Unlike'."
The themes and activities in the workbook will test the students' strength in the areas of creativity and innovation. The activities will cover a broad array of topics ranging from asking participants to innovatively answer the question of ‘What if there had been a fourth Monkey of Gandhijii?' to taking them to a land of fantasy mixed with science fiction, where they think of a T20 match played between the Indian cricket team and aliens. With the benchmark of the success of their previous initiatives, ‘Brain Hunt 2012' aims to hit a participation level of 2.5 lakh students.
The previous three initiatives of the BCC are the Scrapbook Activity in 2010, followed by Junior Picasso and Junior Editor in 2011. 2011 also was the year where Junior Editor was recognized by ‘The India Book of Record' as the Largest Newspaper-making competition, with more than 68,000 students participating across the nation.
