Cineyug was in charge of the conceptualisation, direction, artist management, production and master tape delivery of the awards show. This is the first edition of the event which, given the response, the organisers want to develop into a yearly property.

On the conceptualisation of the event, Mohammad Morani, Director, Cineyug said, "With the Indian audience watching a variety of TV shows and soap-operas, they have come to love different ‘jodis' including the villain-hero, brother-sister and romantic ‘jodis'. People like watching people together. It is this concept of ‘jodis' across all channels that formed the basis of the conceptualisation of the event. People voted for the best jodi and the awards show of the same will be telecast soon."

The hosts at the show were Mukti Mohan and Kapil Sharma, winners of ‘Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo'.
