Cineyug had managed the opening episode for the previous season as well, based on which they were appointed to execute the same this season. They were responsible for handling the creatives, artist management, and the production of the show.
This time, in order to highlight the new contestants, the act was packaged differently. Each contestant was introduced by a Bollywood, Cricket or Television celebrity. This idea was intended to take the show to the next level. Darsheel Safary was introduced by Priyanka Chopra; Sanath Jaysuriya by Harbhajan Singh; Giaa Manek, Pratyusha, and Jayati Bhatia by Rupal Patel; Bharti by Malaika Arora Khan; Gurmeet by Ragini Khanna; Isha Sharvani by Sonu Sood; Talat Aziz by Shaan; Shibani Dandekar and Archana Vijaya by Ayushmaan Khurana; and Ravi Kishen by Rakhi Sawant.
Terence Lewis introduced the first judge, Remo Fernandes. The second judge for this season is Madhuri Dixit. Season five opened with a song and dance performance by Madhuri Dixit, as she welcomed the audience back to the Jhalak family through a musical parody. Dixit used this choreographed sequence in which ‘Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein' was redubbed to introduce the third member of the Jhalak family, Karan Johar - the final judge.
Commenting on the event, Mazhar Nadiadwala, Director, Cineyug Worldwide said: "We organised the opening of the show a little differently this time, like an opening ceremony. Here, the contestants also performed according to the various moods and acts as set by choreographers like Terence Lewis and Saroj Khan. We also had Madhuri Dixit performing. From a technical perspective, it was a superior event that saw the use of projections and graphics. Overall, it was a beautifully executed show and I'm sure the difference will be visible to the audiences."
Since this is a televised show, all promotions for the same will be managed by Colors TV. This season of the show is presented by Cadbury Bournvita and powered by Streax Hair Colour
