Beep Experience managed Nokia's consumer activation programme, "Meet me and bowl to me". The activation was conducted from February 26 to March 21. Winners could meet, greet and bowl to Sir Vivian Richards in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai
Speaking on the association and event objective, Ashish Daga, Business Head, Beep Experience Management said, "We have been associated with Nokia for over five years and have been their preferred on-ground partner across the South for all launches and activations. Nokia's objective was to leverage on the cricket fever and their association with Sir Vivian Richards and create a buzz at retails across the South."
Describing the activation, he added, "Consumers were asked to walk in to the Nokia Priority Partner stores across Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai and take a demo of their favorite Nokia devices. They could then send an SMS of a unique code which they received from the in-store demonstrator. Three lucky winners were shortlisted via a lucky draw to meet with and bowl to Sir Vivian Richards. Ten lucky winners in each city won their Nokia devices and 30 other winners received autographed merchandise by Sir Vivian Richards. The activation programme then led to a grand meet and greet event for the winners, partners and brand activators across all three cities."
Commenting on the impact of the activation, Daga said, "The activation saw over 44,000 SMSs in less than a month and an increase of 27% footfalls at the retail stores."
