This program is an engagement platform for the women of today, empowering them with skills that will provide their families with a better future and contribute to the overall development of their villages. The program aims to engage in a dialogue with these women on various elements that will enhance the lives of their families. The program will educate more than 80,000 women across seven districts of Bihar on a range of topics from education and nourishment to personal grooming and more.

Participants can also avail information and get an answer to any of their queries related to hair care and hair problems through the Nihar Sundar Saksham Parivaar helpline. The topics will be explored in an entertaining fashion through the story of Niharika, the archetype of the progressive woman of today, and supported by engaging sessions conducted by leading experts in the field of grooming and education.

Supported by opinion leaders like sarpanches, anganwadi workers, school principals, ASHA Didis and sevikas, the outreach programme also felicitates progressive women in the villages with the Niharika Award, which will recognize the contribution of these women of substance to the progress of society as a whole. These sessions will take place in safe and comfortable environments like panchayat bhavans and school compounds, which shall cover around 600 villages across the state.
