On this year's edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, Feroz Khan, Creative Director, Dream Merchants remarked: "The 7th edition of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week will be creating history in the world of fashion in India and will be redefining the way fashion events are planned in India." In order to make this year's event unique, BFW Tunes, an initiative to create customized fashion music for fashion events, has been conceptualized. Khan adds: "All shows at BFW will have customized music based on the theme of the show and in tandem with the Designer Look Board. The objective is to give a wholesome experience to the audience, not only visually but also aurally."
On the planning that goes into the event, Khan said: "The event demands seamless and well-planned execution, with over 600 people involved in the event. The property takes place bi-annually in the months of January/February and July/August. The planning for each edition starts at least six months in advance." The planning stage includes venue identification and finalization, participating designer activations, buyer activations, exclusive music creation, media planning and execution of on-ground productions.
The event will witness Indian and international designers showcasing their creations at the event.
Bangalore Fashion Week will include over 30 fashion designer shows, and four lifestyle parties. In addition, there will be model auditions at Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi, and promotional events like Fashion Fridays which are 'high fashion networking events' in the three cities.
